Planning to send Tết gifts to Vietnam for the Year of the Goat? The date to remember is Saturday, February 6, 2027: the first day of Tết. Packages from the US usually take 5–10 days to Saigon and 10–14 days to other provinces, and the weeks before Tết are the busiest of the year, so aim to have your gift boxes shipped by early to mid-January 2027 and confirm the last pre-Tết flight with TCS. Below: a planning timeline starting in November, gift ideas for every relative, and packing tips.
Tết 2027 shipping timeline
TCS flies four times a week, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Estimated delivery is 5–10 days to Ho Chi Minh City and 10–14 days to other provinces, though times can change with the season and transport conditions.
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| November 2026 | List recipients and reconfirm full names, phone numbers and complete addresses. Choose gifts. If you are ordering online or using proxy shopping, order early so items reach the warehouse in time. |
| December 2026 | Collect gifts, check expiry dates, pack boxes. Use the online estimator and ask TCS about the holiday flight schedule. |
| Early January 2027 | Ideal time to ship your main boxes, especially to provinces outside Saigon. |
| Mid-January 2027 | A late point to consider. Call TCS to confirm the last flight before Tết before you bring your boxes in. |
| Until Tết | Track each package and remind recipients to keep their phones on. |
We do not publish a fixed cutoff here because the pre-Tết schedule is announced each year. Call (714) 379-8787 or message Zalo (949) 979-6888 for the exact date. Flight days, delivery times and the cost estimator are on our ship to Vietnam page.
Gift ideas by recipient
For parents and grandparents
Practical everyday items are often the most appreciated. Powdered milk is a classic: Ensure Original powder, 397 g provides 9 g of protein per serving, or choose the 6-can Ensure Original pack. Per serving, powder weighs far less than ready-to-drink bottles, which helps when shipping is priced by weight.
Age-specific multivitamins are another popular choice: One A Day Men's 50+ and One A Day Women's 50+, 300 tablets each. For joint support, consider Kirkland Signature Glucosamine and Chondroitin, Schiff Move Free Advanced or Osteo Bi-Flex Triple Strength. Parents should check with their doctor first, especially if they take other medication.
Medicated oil and patches are the gifts many grandparents still ask for: Eagle Brand Medicated Oil 24 ml, 12-pack to share around the family, the Eagle Brand roll-on 8 ml for handbags, or Salonpas patches, 140 count. These are for external use; follow the label directions.
For kids
US candy never fails. Multi-pack boxes are easy to share with cousins or tuck next to lucky money: Haribo Happy Mix, 120 packs, Hershey's Nuggets, 145 pieces or Hello Panda chocolate cookies. For children who need extra nutrition, many families pick PediaSure Grow and Gain powder, vanilla. Parents should ask a pediatrician first; it is not a substitute for breast milk or infant formula.
For the whole family
Elegant, shareable, long-lasting boxes are perfect for relatives and the Tết guest table: Ferrero Rocher, 48 pieces, Wonderful Pistachios, 3 lbs, Kirkland Signature Pecan Halves, Kirkland Signature Favorites candy or La Grande Galette butter cookies. |---|---|---|
| Parents, grandparents | Ensure powder, 50+ vitamins, joint supplements, medicated oil, patches | Keep seals intact; powder over liquid saves weight |
| Kids | Gummies, chocolate packs, cookies, PediaSure | Pick multi-packs; ask a pediatrician about nutrition drinks |
| Whole family | Ferrero Rocher, pistachios, pecans, Kirkland candy, butter cookies | Pack chocolate in the center of the box |
